Another month another book haul. This one is admittedly bigger than the last few months, but I’m still at my goal TBR number so it’s all good my friends.
Let’s start with my Book of The Month pick:

Miracle Creek by Angie Kim: Last month I tried guessing what April’s Book of the Month pick would be, and low and behold I shockingly got it right. I’m so glad too because this book has been on my radar for a hot minute, and I’m betting it’s going to get five stars. I’m drawn to complex, morally grey, generally messed up topics, and I have a feeling this one will mess with my head big time.
I decided not add any other books to my box, because I knew I’d be doing some damage at BookOutlet for the first time in months. So without further ado here are those books:

Dreamin’ Sun Vol. 7 by Ichigo Takano : There isn’t much to say about why I got this other than that I’m trash for this manga series. It’s corny and probably problematic in some way, but still a good ole fun time for the squealing 12 year old inside of me.

Everything All At Once by Katrina Leno: If this isn’t proof that social media influences you, then I don’t know what is. No, but for real, I’ve heard Chelsea over from ChelseaDollingReads on Youtube rave about Katrina Leno so often that I’ve been dying to get my hands on any book of hers.

For Every One by Jason Reynolds: I absolutely love A Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds, so when I saw this on BookOutlet I had to get it. I’ve heard it described as a pep talk for dreamers, which I’m always down for. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that it’s also aesthetically pleasing.

Vengeful by V.E. Schwab : I read Vicious by Schwab last year, and I’ve been curious about how the sequels holds up ever since it came out. I’ve heard a lot of mixed things, but hopefully this one wins me over.

Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend: The next Harry Potter, need I say more? Boarding school, magic, mischief: I’m way too ready for this. Especially when Rowling is out here trying to get me to hate her beloved series.

This Adventure Ends by Emma Mills: I’ve read two other novels by Mills and enjoyed them enough. Honestly, they’re not groundbreaking or anything, but they are cute and wholesome. I like reading her books as pallet cleansers between heavier novels.

Before the Devil Breaks You by Libba Bray: It’s about time I got my hands on the third installment of the Diviners series. I don’t think I’m ready for it, but I shall power through in hopes it’ll help me with this slump I’m going under.

Sadie by Courtney Summers: I read this last summer and absolutely fell in love with it. However, I read it as an audiobook, and wanted to add a physical copy to my collection. So the second it came up on Book Outlet I knew I had to get it.
And ta-da that’s it! Hopefully, next month’s haul is smaller. If there are any books you’ve gotten recently, or are hoping to get, please let me know in the comments!
